Cape Cod League Star Michael Anderson Pursues Baseball Dreams at the University of Arkansas

Rhode Island infielder Michael Anderson has recently announced that he will be attending the University of Arkansas to play baseball. The rising junior expressed his gratitude for the opportunity on social media, thanking the program for their support and belief in his abilities.

Anderson stands at 6-3 and weighs 227 pounds, making him a formidable presence on the field. As a sophomore team captain and primary first baseman for the Rams, he led the team in RBI with 41. In a March 20 game against Stonehill, Anderson set an NCAA Division I record with 12 RBI in a single game. He recorded five hits, including two doubles, one triple, and two home runs.

Originally from Haverton, Pennsylvania, Anderson is known for his power at the plate. During his time at Rhode Island, he batted .252 with 13 home runs and nine doubles. His impressive OPS of .985 demonstrated his skill and consistency at the plate. Despite facing challenges, Anderson has proven himself to be a force to be reckoned with in the baseball world.

Currently playing for the Harwich Mariners in the prestigious Cape Cod League, Anderson continues to refine his skills and gain valuable experience. With his commitment to Arkansas, he is poised to make a significant impact on the team and contribute to their success in the future.
