Countdown to the Todde Council: Revealing the First Names of Sardinia

Building a Diverse and Inclusive Future for Sardinia: Alessandra Todde’s New Council Promises Gender Equality, Territorial Representation and Competence in Key Departments.

Alessandra Todde, the new president of the Sardinia Region, is currently working on finalizing an agreement with the centre-left Campo Largo parties, who helped her win the elections on 25 February. The selection of councilors will be based on criteria such as competence, gender equality, representativeness, and territoriality, while taking into account the coalition forces’ indications.

In the coming days, the Democratic Party, as the leading party in the coalition, will propose names for key positions to Todde. These may include the presidency and vice-presidency of the council and various departments. Meanwhile, Alleanza Verdi Sinistra could be responsible for public works, while Orizzonte Comune is seeking control over Tourism, Crafts, and Commerce. Sinistra Futura aims to oversee the Department of Culture and Public Education.

Todde and her team are working hard to ensure that the future council reflects the diverse interests and priorities of the Sardinia Region. Various potential candidates for these positions are being considered, including outgoing regional councilors who have been re-elected in their respective areas. As final decisions are made and roles are distributed among coalition parties, Todde remains committed to creating a council that serves all citizens fairly and effectively.
