Bryce Harper Smashes 3 Home Runs to End Season-Opening Hitless Streak

Bryce Harper Stages a Comeback with Triple Home Run Performance

On Tuesday, Philadelphia Phillies outfielder Bryce Harper ended his hitless streak in a big way. In a 9-4 victory over the Cincinnati Reds, Harper hit three home runs, marking the second time in his career he has achieved this feat.

Harper’s impressive performance started with his first home run of the night in the first inning. He crushed a Graham Ashcraft sinker 420 feet to center field, hitting his first homer of the season after going 0-for-11 in the first three games.

In the fourth inning, Harper broke a 1-1 tie with a line drive that just cleared the right field wall for his second homer of the night. This also marked the 1,000th run of Harper’s career.

But it was in the seventh inning that Harper sealed the deal with a grand slam to right-center field. With the bases loaded and a full count, Harper’s 422-foot shot doubled the Phillies’ lead to 8-1. This grand slam was Harper’s seventh of his career and propelled him to an impressive batting average of .200 and a slugging percentage of .800.

Harper’s stellar performance helped him turn around a slow start to the season and boosted his team’s morale after their tough opening series against Atlanta Braves. Despite some concerns about back issues, Harper proved once again that he is more than ready to make an impact for his team on and off the plate.
