Sotiriou Signs with Bristol Rovers as Striker

Bristol Rovers Sign Striker Ruel Sotiriou from Leyton Orient in a Feud-Avoiding Deal

Bristol Rovers recently signed striker Ruel Sotiriou from Leyton Orient for an undisclosed fee. The Cyprus international was coming to the end of his contract, but the two clubs reached an agreement to avoid a hearing by the Professional Football Compensation Committee. Sotiriou has secured a three-year deal with the possibility of extending for an additional season at the Memorial Stadium.

Sotiriou was Leyton Orient’s top scorer last season, scoring 12 goals across all competitions. Bristol Rovers manager Matt Taylor is confident in Sotiriou’s goal-scoring abilities and believes that he needs to continue improving his overall performance on the field. Taylor is excited to support Sotiriou in his development at Bristol Rovers and is optimistic about the player’s potential.

Sotiriou had been playing well for Leyton Orient and was attracting interest from other clubs as well. However, Bristol Rovers were able to secure him by agreeing on a fee that both parties deemed acceptable. This move is seen as a significant boost to Bristol Rovers’ attacking options and could help them compete for promotion next season.
