The United Kingdom has rejected the European Commission’s proposal to encourage mobility for citizens aged between 18 and 30, stating that such agreements are no longer relevant after Brexit. A spokesperson for the British government announced that they will not apply the youth mobility program for the entire EU and that freedom of movement is no longer in effect. Instead, London plans to negotiate agreements of this nature on a country-by-country basis.
