Eppo, a software company seeking assistance from Moving Brands, prompted the team to identify the need for an identity and website that would distinguish Eppo in the data market. As strategy director at Moving Brands, Jordan Heber highlighted that Eppo is a data scientist’s experimentation platform, differentiating it from competitors founded by engineers. The A/B testing platform of Eppo allows businesses to utilize their own data for growth by comparing different versions of web pages or apps.
Moving Brands created a visual identity for Eppo that emphasizes transformation, creativity, and the brand’s dynamic nature while allowing for future expansion. With a team based in London and the US, Moving Brands developed a modular visual system that can be continuously adapted and evolved. Design director Joel Smith stated that Eppo challenged the team to embrace the unconventional to emphasize their background in data science and experimental approach.
The new branding features bold and unique color combinations to capture the essence of experimentation, with a modular logo that adjusts and transforms as it scales up, mirroring the growth of tech companies. The user experience, both in print and digital platforms, is designed to be constantly evolving, reflecting the experimental spirit of Eppo. By embracing the “weird” and pushing boundaries, Moving Brands successfully differentiated Eppo in the competitive data market, marking it as a leader in innovation and experimentation.
