Breaking Barriers: The Evolution of YouTube and Its Impact on Global Connectivity

Jawed Karim’s first video on YouTube, titled “Me at the Zoo,” was a low-resolution clip of him standing in front of an elephant enclosure at the San Diego Zoo. Today, YouTube has 2.7 billion monthly active users globally and has become a cultural phenomenon that connects people from all over the world through viral videos. The music video for “Gangnam Style” by Psy was the first to reach a billion views on YouTube, setting a Guinness record in just five months.
