Retail chain closing all stores after nearly seven decades in business.

Bob’s Stores Liquidation: A Chapter 11 Restructuring and the End of an Era for New York, Connecticut, Massachusetts, New Hampshire, and Rhode Island

Dave Barton, the president of Bob’s Stores, expressed regret over the company’s financial position that led to the closure. The liquidation is part of the company’s Chapter 11 restructuring petition filed on June 18 by owner GoDigital Media Group.

The closure is set for July 14 and includes all locations in New York, Connecticut, Massachusetts, New Hampshire, and Rhode Island. Bob’s Stores currently offers discounts of 30% to 70% off and will honor gift cards and merchandise credits until the final day. All sales are final, and no returns will be accepted.

Bob’s Stores has a long history of nearly 70 years in local communities and thanked vendors, suppliers, customers, and employees for their support over the years. It is important to note that Bob’s Discount Furniture and Mattress Store chain is owned by a different company. There are two stores on Long Island but no locations on Staten Island.
