This year, the conference will feature 16 teams, including Arizona, Arizona State, Colorado, and Utah, following the departure of Texas and Oklahoma to the SEC. Despite some doubts about Colorado and Arizona State’s ability to compete for a conference title in their first year, Deion Sanders’ Buffaloes were predicted to finish 11th while ASU was picked to finish last. The Big 12 Championship Game is set for December 7th at AT&T Stadium in Arlington, Texas. Last year saw Texas emerge victorious in the championship game over Oklahoma State.
