Bellarmine University Athletes Make the Cut for College Sports’ Academic All-District Teams with Outstanding Performances in Field Hockey, Golf, Wrestling, and More

Bellarmine University has been recognized by College Sports’ Communicators’ Academic All-District Teams for its outstanding student-athletes. The organization named six Bellarmine athletes to the Women’s At-Large Team and six to the Men’s At-Large Team.

On the Women’s At-Large Team, Bente Moorman was honored for her field hockey and business administration skills, while Alexa Rastigue was recognized for her mastery of STEAM education and Teresa Schmidt for her expertise in digital media. Kailey Workman was acknowledged for her work in biochemistry and molecular biology, Josephine Bonin for her achievements in women’s golf and business administration, and Alaina Schmitt for her communication skills.

In addition, John Alie received recognition on the Men’s At-Large team for his financial acumen, Christian Della Rocco was acknowledged for his business administration prowess, Aidan Fearn was celebrated for his economics expertise, Benny O’Rourk was recognized for his mastery of business administration, Justin Wescoat was honored for his contributions to lacrosse and Zac Cowan received acknowledgment for his achievements in wrestling.

To be eligible for consideration as a CSC Academic All-District Team member, student-athletes must have a minimum GPA of 3.5 and appear in at least 90 percent of their team’s games or start in at least 66 percent of lacrosse or field hockey events or compete in at least 70 percent of golf or wrestling events.
