Jay Wasemiller, a freshman from Bartlesville, shone at the boy’s golf Regionals on Wednesday. He shot a team-best 76, earning him a spot in the State qualifiers next week. Despite Bartlesville as a team finishing in 10th place, Lucas Wyatt and Nash Zervas both shot under 90.
Wasemiller’s performance was particularly noteworthy, and he will represent Bartlesville at the State tournament on Monday and Tuesday at Oaks Country Club in Tulsa. More coverage on Wasemiller’s progress at State is planned for early next week. Stay tuned for updates on his journey as he competes against some of the best golfers in the state.
