The Austin Technology Council is currently seeking nominations for its annual “Austin Tech Hall of Fame” awards ceremony. These awards are part of the council’s efforts to honor the past, recognize the present, and influence the future of Austin’s technology community.
Thom Singer, CEO of the Austin Technology Council, emphasized the importance of recognizing the visionary entrepreneurs, community leaders, and innovators who have driven the city’s evolution into a thriving tech hub. He said that by honoring these individuals, ATC hopes to inspire and support current and future entrepreneurs in Austin.
The inaugural induction ceremony and cocktail reception for the Austin Tech Hall of Fame will be held on June 4th. The event will honor six “legacy inductees” as well as present the “first-time founder award.” The selection of inductees will be made by ATC’s board of directors.
Scott Francis, founder and CEO of BP3 Global and board chair of the ATC, highlighted the significance of this program in recognizing the history of Austin’s technology community. He stressed that it is important to connect with the past in order to inspire and support current and future entrepreneurs in Austin.
