Assault on Prime Minister Mette Frederiksen

Assault on Danish Prime Minister: What Really Happened?

Almost four weeks ago, a 39-year-old Polish citizen living in Denmark was charged with physically assaulting Danish Prime Minister Mette Frederiksen by hitting her on the upper arm in the street. The incident took place as Frederiksen was walking to meet a friend for coffee in downtown Copenhagen.

Frederiksen suffered minor injuries and had to cancel several scheduled appointments following the attack. However, the defendant denied his guilt in court and claimed that he did not intentionally harm the prime minister.

Investigators believe that the man was under the influence of alcohol and possibly drugs at the time of the attack. Despite this, they do not believe that it was a planned assault with a political motive. As a result, he may face deportation from Denmark in addition to criminal charges.
