Armenia’s Foreign Minister Ararat Mirzoyan arrived in Brussels to take part in the 5th session of the RA-EU Partnership Council. The session, which will occur on February 13, will include participation from the RA Minister of Foreign Affairs and the Vice President of the European Commission, Josep Borel. The High Representative of the EU High Representative for Foreign Affairs and Security Policy will also be present.
During his time in Brussels, Mirzoyan met with Khert Jan Kupman, the European Commission’s General Director for Neighborhood Policy and Enlargement Negotiations. The two officials discussed issues related to the security situation in the South Caucasus and addressed medium and long-term needs for those displaced from Nagorno Karabakh. They also discussed ways to promote the “Crossroads of Peace” program developed by the Government of Armenia.
In addition to these discussions, Mirzoyan also touched on a wide range of other issues related to RA-EU bilateral agenda, particularly focusing on effective implementation of provisions under RA-EU Comprehensive and Extended Partnership Agreement.
