During the red carpet premiere of her latest film, “A Bit of Light,” directed by her husband Stephen Moyer, Anna Paquin used a cane due to mobility issues caused by an undisclosed health problem she has been dealing with for the past two years. Despite the challenges, sources say Paquin is expected to make a full recovery.

In “A Bit of Light,” Paquin portrays a struggling mother who moves in with her father after losing custody of her children. The film also stars Ray Winstone, Youssef Kerkour, Pippa Bennett-Warner, and Luca Hogan.

Paquin spoke about her love for independent filmmaking and how it is where she started in the industry. She values telling stories with integrity and truth and credited Moyer as her favorite acting partner and the reason she agreed to star in the film, citing his strong directorial skills. “A Bit of Light” is set to hit theaters on April 5th through Quiver.
