Amazon is discontinuing its Astro business robots less than a year after launch.

Amazon Dismantles Astro for Business to Focus on Home Use: Exclusive Details and Refunds

In response to the growing demand for innovative solutions, Amazon has made the difficult decision to discontinue support for Astro for Business in order to focus on improving Astro’s performance in home use.

As a valued customer of Astro for Business, we would like to assure you that we will be providing a full refund for all device purchases made through the platform. Over the next few weeks, Amazon will process your refund and issue it to your original payment method. If your original payment method is no longer valid, we will issue a credit to your Amazon account equal to the amount you paid. No further action is required on your part to receive this refund.

In addition, as a token of appreciation for your loyalty, Amazon is offering a $300 credit to your account to help you find an alternative solution for your workplace needs. You will also receive an automatic invitation to join our Astro Day 1 Editions Program if you wish to continue using Astro in your home environment.

Please note that on September 25th, your Astro for Business device will cease functionality and all personal data stored on the device will be deleted. Any patrol or investigation videos recorded by Astro can still be accessed through your Ring app until expiration of video storage time or end of Ring Protect subscription.

If you are an Astro Secure subscriber, please be aware that this service will be discontinued on September 25th as well. Your subscription benefits will automatically end and you will receive a refund of any unused pre-paid subscription fees associated with your Ring account payment method.
