A Shift in Leadership at Main Line Health: President of Care Eric Mankin Resigns and General Counsel Brian Corbett Announces Retirement

Family Medicine Physician Eric Mankin has resigned as the President of Main Line Health’s Care, the primary care network serving the Philadelphia suburbs. Mankin had been in the role since 2013 and was responsible for overseeing 500 physicians and over 200 advanced practice providers. His last day as President was June 30th.

Mankin’s departure is part of a series of leadership changes at Main Line Health, a nonprofit system that owns four hospitals. The system has seen significant improvement compared to the previous year, despite facing a $50 million operating loss for the nine months ending March 31.

Main Line Health also announced that its general counsel, Brian Corbett, will retire in the fall and be succeeded by his deputy, Della Payne. Leigh Ehrlich replaced long-time chief financial officer Mike Buongiorno in the winter.

Family physician Donald Klingen, who also serves as the system’s chief medical information officer, has taken over as interim president of the primary care network. He continues to practice as a primary care physician at the Main Line HealthCare practice in Newtown Square.
