Northeast High School Hosts Successful College Fair Collaboration with UNL’s College of Agricultural Sciences and Natural Resources
Lincoln Northeast High School recently held a college fair in collaboration with the University of Nebraska Lincoln. The focus of the event was on the College of Agricultural Sciences and Natural Resources. During the evening of their parent-teacher conferences, students had the opportunity to learn more about programs in animal and food science, engineering, forensic science, and pre-veterinary studies offered at UNL.
This strategic decision by the coordinators, Tammera Mittelstet from the ag science college and Northeast Principal Keri Applebee, made it more convenient for students and their families to attend. By hosting the fair during conferences, they hoped to attract a larger community of stakeholders who were already present at the school.
Both UNL and Northeast High School are planning to continue their partnership in the future. Their goal is to provide even more students with opportunities to explore various career paths and visualize their future goals. This initiative aims to help students make connections and gain insights into potential future endeavors in agriculture, science, engineering, and more.
