Boston Sports History Declares Classic Patriots Uniform as Best-suited

1985 Patriots Win Best Boston Sports Uniform Showdown with Iconic ‘Patriot’ Helmets

The 1985 Patriots uniform has been voted as the best sports uniform in Boston’s history. Despite their recent success, the classic look of red jerseys and iconic “Pat Patriot” helmets emerged as the winner in a bracket of Boston’s best sports uniforms.

The final matchup saw the 1985 Patriots defeat the “Bobby Orr Bruins Era” uniforms by a margin of 57-43 votes. This was the second closest matchup for the 1985 Patriots, who had previously overcome the No. 1 overall seed in the bracket, the 2004 Red Sox. The journey to victory was also challenging for the 1985 Patriots, who were given a lower seed and faced tough opponents throughout the competition.

Looking at other results in the bracket, the closest matchup was between the 2011 Bruins and Bobby Orr Era Bruins. The “Bobby Orr Era” uniforms won by only 16 votes out of a total of 3,566 votes. However, in the end, it was clear that Tony Collins wearing his classic uniform during his time with New England professional football team was unmatched by any other choice in Boston sports history.
